What is CodeConnect Namibia?
CodeConnect Namibia is The African Connection’s flagship initiative designed to bridge the gap between ambition and opportunity for Namibia's youth. Our mission is to provide participants with the critical digital skills, mentorship, and career pathways needed to excel in today’s rapidly evolving tech-driven economy.
At its core, CodeConnect is more than just a coding bootcamp – it’s a transformative journey. Participants learn cutting-edge programming languages, problem-solving techniques, and professional skills to prepare them for careers in technology or entrepreneurial ventures.
Why CodeConnect?
Namibia’s youth are brimming with untapped potential, but opportunities to access high-quality tech education remain scarce. CodeConnect Namibia was created to address this challenge by:
Providing Access: Offering free or low-cost training to ensure accessibility for underrepresented communities.
Building Skills: Teaching in-demand tech skills, from basic coding to advanced software development.
Creating Opportunities: Partnering with leading organizations like Document Warehouse to offer hands-on internships and career development.
Fostering Innovation: Encouraging participants to design solutions for real-world challenges in Namibia and beyond.
Our Impact
Since its inception, CodeConnect Namibia has transformed the lives of dozens of students, many of whom have gone on to secure tech jobs, launch startups, or contribute meaningfully to their communities. Together, we’ve empowered a new generation of African changemakers.
“Before CodeConnect, I never imagined I could learn to code. Now, I’m working with a local tech company and building my own app!”
