There are different types of CV formats

  • Entry-level CV- For people who are just entering the job market. 

  • This is usually young people who just finished their undergraduate program and have little work experience.

  • 1 page in length 

  • Focus on transferable skills and abilities 


  • Mid Level- are professional who has moved past the entry-level 

    • This CV is excellent for graduates and young professionals who have work experience to highlight. 

  • The CV should be 2 A4 pages long.

  • Much focus is on relevant qualifications, work experience, and professional training. 


  • Skilled-based CV- This is for individuals who do not have academic qualifications but have work experience that could help them do the job well.  


    • Concentration on the skills, knowledge, and personal abilities gained that would be relevant to the job you are applying for. 

      • The abilities and skills need to be reinforced with real work examples.
