The AC Internship Program

We are dedicated to empowering the youth of Namibia and have recently launched a 6-month paid intern program to fulfill this objective. Our program is expertly crafted to train recent Namibian graduates in the art of crafting professional resumes and cover letters. Moreover, we are equipping these interns with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft products and data plans to enhance their productivity. Our ultimate goal is to prepare young Namibians to deliver top-notch services, boost their confidence and proficiency in commonly requested technology, and provide them with payment to combat unemployment in Namibia.

The African Connection internship program exists to serve three main goals.

  • Promote organizational growth by providing program development support.

  • Contribute towards the development of a professional peer-to-peer training model.

  • Provide interns with a safe environment to gain hands-on experience and mentors for strengthening their professional brand identity and employment opportunities.

We are working to create opportunities for youth in Namibia to gain access to education and resources, as well as gain work experience and income. Our goal is to empower Namibian youth by providing them with the tools and resources they need to succeed in their careers. By offering education, resources, and work experience, we are creating a pipeline of opportunities for recent graduates.

This program provides a unique opportunity for Namibian youth to gain professional experience, build their skills and networks, and gain valuable insight into our industry.

We seek motivated, enthusiastic individuals eager to learn and contribute to our organization. Our interns will work alongside our experienced team and gain hands-on experience in research, marketing, customer service, operations, and project management.

“You can go as far as you want so long as you are committed to hard work as you pursue your dream. I have been trying to seize whatever opportunity that comes my way; this is how I get to earn something for myself.”

Benefits of an Internship

  1. Professional Development: Interns can gain valuable work experience, enhance their skills and knowledge, and better understand their career field. This can help them build their resume and make them more competitive in the job market.

  2. Networking Opportunities: Interns have the opportunity to meet and work with professionals in their field, which can help them expand their network and make valuable connections that can lead to future job opportunities.

  3. Mentorship: Interns can receive guidance and mentorship from experienced professionals, which can help them navigate their career path and make informed decisions about their future.

  4. Exposure to Company Culture: Interns can get a firsthand look at the inner workings of a company, including its values, culture, and operations. This can help them determine if the company is a good fit for them and help them make more informed decisions about their career.

  5. Compensation: Many internships offer compensation, whether a stipend, hourly pay, or other benefits such as housing or transportation allowances. While compensation is not always a guarantee, it can help alleviate some of the financial burdens of participating in an internship.

Overall, internships can be a valuable experience for students and recent graduates looking to gain real-world experience in their chosen field and jumpstart their careers.
